Back Forty Fest is back—and it didn’t come back quietly. Tucked deep in the pines and a little off the radar, this is where the Northwoods turns the volume up for a day. We’re stacking the stage from afternoon to night with a mix of local talent and full-throttle tribute acts—starting with Brainerd’s own Third Wheel, rolling into a Cake tribute that hits all the right notes, and closing it out with a Red Hot Chili Peppers set that doesn’t hold anything back. In between, expect a steady pulse of live music to keep things moving. Third Wheel 2pm - 4p Andy D 4pm – 5pm (patio stage) Cake Walk 5pm – 6:30pm Andy D 6:30pm - 7:30pm (patio stage) SirPsycho 7:30pm - 9pm Cold beer, loud guitars, and a crowd that knows exactly why they showed up. It’s a little bigger this year, a little tighter, and still just rough enough around the edges to feel like it’s ours.
